The vehichle we travel lifes roads with rolls to a stop, and then the spirit within can fly, soar, and touch down to visit again. Listen for a flutter on the breeze, a rustle in the trees, or a soft touch on your shoulder. A song, a laugh, snort in between, he is still here. Just not wearing his pain, bearing his suffering. He is not lost, just vibrating in a different key.

May your life-light that shone so brightly on this earth, twinkle down from the heavens above. Thank you for your beautiful music and contribution to the human soul.

Kenny was an original. The news of his transition, was at first saddening, then again he was liberated from this Earth..He left all us, some great, fine and inspirational music...Celebrate his life...He was a good soul..

Goodbye my friend

August 18, 2010

I was introduced to Kenny today, after he was already gone. Tales from the Tavern sent out the sad notice. Now I am listening to his music on youtube and enjoying it. Through his music is where he will live on. I am sorry for the gap he'll undoubtedly leave in the lives of those who knew and loved him.

Lord, be with those whose hearts are broken, who feel the burden of this great loss of such a gifted person who sought to share those gifts with others. Kenny, you have graduated to the highest of places to know the truths of life... find those you encountered here and carry on till we meet again... no more tears till the heartache is gone.. How I will miss you... to your family, friends and fans... bless you with love and light

Love your work Kenny. You have been a major part of the fabric that has woven my musical roots from the time I first heard you back in the seventies when I dreamed of being taken seriously in the music business. Bryndle was pure creative genius - "Savannah" is a song I still play for anyone who will listen. I have only just heard of your health issues and I hope you receive the miracles you so deserve.

Dear Friends,

Kenny Edwards, singer, songwriter, producer, and musician, who has helped to create the sounds of Southern California since 1969, crafting music with artists such as Linda Ronstadt, Brian Wilson, Bob Kimmel, Karla Bonoff, Don Henley, Emmylou Harris, Stevie Nicks, Andrew Gold, Wendy Waldman, J.D. Souther, and countless others, has been stricken with a sudden life-challenging illness while on the road in Denver, Colorado.

Kenny is in desperate need of an air ambulance to return home to his beloved Southern California.

The cost of this flight is beyond his resources. His friends have come together to help pay for this flight to bring Kenny home. Any help you can give us would be greatly appreciated.

Please visit www.kennyedwards.com and give what you can.

Please feel free to pass this on. We must bring Kenny home.

Thank You for your help!

Hi Kenny, I worked at Troubadour from 1969-1975 and am one of the administrators(on Facebook) of the
Troubadour Family Reunion 1964-1974
There are people joining every day...staff, musicians, industry representatives and regulars who made the Troubadour experience so unique.
We hope that you, Karla and JD will go to the page on Facebook and register. The date has been penciled in as Sunday October 10th. There are a number of people coming who have not registered but have personally expressed a desire to be a part of the event....Ed Begley, Michael Ochs, Mark Lennon(Venice) and Freebo are among that group. If you prefer to go that route, we will honor that decision...and I will personally keep you in the loop.
This will be an fun and nostalgic gathering to celebrate a special time with people who made an
impact on American musical culture.
Sure hope you will be part of our reunion.

Having never before "sampled your wares", I thoroughly enjoyed your performance w/Karla Bonoff at the Infinity Music Hall in Norfolk, CT. And since have been enjoying your autographed copy of Resurrection Road. BRAVO! Thank you for the GREAT entertainment. Your multi-tasking between mandolin, electric bass, and accoustic guitars pretty much kept my jaw on the ground. Your vocals accentuated the lyrics of the music that night. I hope you plan on returning to CT in your future performances. Would also highly recommend you to my musical associates!

December 4, 2009

Greetings, & Salutations, Kenny!

I did receive the copy of your "Resurrection Road" CD, on November 30th and,it is absolutely STUPENDOUS! Then again, so is your self-titled Solo Debut, and now, your second one is so good, as a natural follow-up.
I remember this past April 2nd, when you played at B.B. King's Blues Bar & Grill, in The Big Apple, you previewd at least three of the new songs: "Resurrection Road", "In Your Eyes", and "The Fever". I was literally blown away, to put that as a casual understatement! You did, as I recall, perform "In Your Eyes", just your vocal & acoustic guitar playing & even WITHOUT Freddy Koella's violin accompaniment, you gave a beautiful performance. On the studio version, you guys make me cry, every time I hear it!

The new album, overall, is truly a Masterpiece and, indeed well worth the wait....It will not be leaving my eqipment tray, anytime soon!
